Frequently Asked Questions

Technical & Platform

We provide a high-level API that controls any robot capable of executing the desired action. Obviously, a vacuum can't pick up an apple from the table. But if your app tells a robot to kick a ball, it works on any robot that can kick — vacuums, quadrupeds, and humanoids alike.

Integrations

Yes. This is an open platform designed to connect to third-party services.

You can control the robot from Home Assistant. You can also trigger apps based on events from your own sensors. For example, if your front door sensor detects the door opening, you can make the robot go to the door to greet the visitor — or use the robot's camera to see who arrived.

Note: Third-party integrations like IFTTT require an internet connection.

Privacy & Data

Yes. All published apps must have a privacy policy, even if you don't collect personal data. Link it in your app listing and make it accessible within the app.

Unpublished apps don't require any paperwork.

Safety & Content

Apps may not contain: malware, adult content, hate speech, violence promotion, illegal activity, privacy violations, or content harmful to children.

We reserve the right to reject or remove apps that violate these standards.

Intellectual Property

Contact us with evidence of infringement. We investigate all claims and may remove infringing apps. For serious disputes, you may need to pursue legal action.

Revenue & Business

We charge a 30% platform fee; you keep 70% — similar to Apple and Google app stores. Payouts work similarly to those platforms (details coming soon).

Publishing

Similar to Apple and Google. You'll need to:

- Register and verify your developer account
- Submit your app (Docker container)
- Provide a description, screenshots, and/or video
- Link to your privacy policy
- Declare permissions (internet, camera, microphone, etc.)
- Provide contact information and country
- Select an age rating

We review for safety, quality, and policy compliance.

Appeals & Enforcement

Yes. Reply to the rejection notice with additional context or corrections. If you believe the rejection was a mistake, explain why your app complies with our guidelines.
